Just 5 minutes outside the historic town of Stellenbosch, you will find a true jewel nestled amongst the Bottelary Valley hills - right in the heart of the Cape Winelands. Blending the magnificence of natural beauty and vineyards, with sculptured greens at an international standard golf course, Devonvale Golf Lodge caters for Individual as well as group bookings. The Lodge is built near the clubhouse with magnificent views over the vineyards, the surrounding mountains and the golf course. The lodge has various types of accommodation to suit all your needs, including self-catering apartments, hotel style rooms and holiday homes. There are 20 self-catering apartments, which sleep 1 – 4 guests. Ground floor apartments lead out onto the garden / pool area while the first floor units have balconies facing the Simonsberg Mountains or clubhouse and sunset. The apartments consist of a kitchenette, lounge/dining area with air-conditioning, bedrooms and en-suite bathrooms. There are moveable braai facilities available for guests to use on those idyllic summer evenings! The 10 hotel rooms are for those travellers who just need a room to relax and sleep in, but all rooms have tea/coffee facilities. Our holiday homes are all double-stories and have 2 or 3 bedrooms upstairs. The houses are fully equipped for long term stays and have washing machines and dishwashers. In total, between the lodge and the holiday Homes on the estate, we can accommodate 110 guests sharing, and 55 singles. Guests are welcome to make use of the golf club facilities such as the driving range, putting area, halfway house, bar and restaurant. All meals are served daily in the club house lounge anytime between 7am and 9pm. Guests staying in the Golf Lodge get a discount on the golf club’s green fees We also have an 18m pool and patio with braai facilities for use by the lodge guests and home owners. Boules, walks, mountain biking, fly fishing can all be done within close proximity of the estate.
Situated 5km outside Stellenbosch and just 30 minutes along the N1 from Cape Town, Devonvale Golf and Wine Estate’s three conference venues are indeed the best venue choices for the discerning conference delegate. Our conference facilities can cater for up to 280 delegates in three different venues. Avoid the stress of fighting early morning or afternoon traffic and rather book a 24-hour package deal. Spend the night on the estate in our country lodge, were we offer self-catering apartments or hotel rooms. Two bedroom luxury estate homes with magnificent views of the golf course, swimming pool and surrounding vineyards are also available for rent. The Lodge, together with the homes, can accommodate up to 110 guests in shared accommodation. Conference Facilities The Devonvale has a number of superb venues available depending on your requirements and number of delegates. The Indaba Room The Indaba Room is the larger of the 3 conference rooms and has seating for up to 180 delegates. The room has French doors leading on to a private patio and gardens for refreshments and tea breaks. The Indaba Room is well air-conditioned, has a large screen, and PA system with hand-held microphone, as well as wireless internet access. Room Size: 20m x 30m Maximum Delegates: Cinema Style: 180 delegates The Blumberg Room This conference room has recently been upgraded and refurbished. It is smaller than the Indaba Room, and has a balcony with views of the golf course, for breaks and a breath of fresh air. The Blumberg Room is a modern room with P A system including lapel and hand-held microphones, air-conditioning, screen and multi-power points along the carpeted floors for up to 40 laptops. The Blumberg Room has wireless internet access. Room Size: 13m x 14m Maximum Delegates: Cinema Style: 90 delegates Wine Tasting Room Our third and most intimate venue is our Wine Tasting Room. This is used for groups from 4 to 10 delegates, for breakaway groups within a workshop or of course, wine tasting after your conference.
